General Protection fault win 98

My Windows 98 was acting and was going to reinstall. However, I get the following error message.

W98setup caused General Protection fault in module KRNL386.exe at 0002:00000530

I think it is a bad ram chip but now sure. I have some other memory chips and could replace the bad one if that is the problem.
