When I start windows XP Pro Generic Host Process for Win32 Services encountered a problem and needed to close.

Any thoughts

Do you have a Hewlitt-Packard printer, scanner, or all-in-one installed on your computer?

When I installed my printers software for my HP 7310 I was receiving the same errors. It took me about a week to put two and two together. I downloaded the latest software from the hp site and installed it. Since then I have had no problems with that error coming up.
