Hello:
I tried to insert some pictures from my Fujifilm camera to my PC with no luck.
I'm using Windows 7 Professional.
I activated the action center to try and reinstall the driver, no luck.
I got this message: Remote desktop generic USB device(redirected)has a driver problem.
I tried additional fixes with no success.
I also went to device manager and disabled the link with the yellow triangle and restarted the computer and apparently that did not work.
I appreciate your suggestion, but I would like to get the Generic USB Device Driver problem fixed. I installed and then uninstalled a software from Fujifilm. It was a nightmare trying to put photos into my PC. If you were trying to sell something that needed a photo in the ad, it did not work.
If I can't get this driver fixed the I will consider your option.
Thanks Very Much.
The Generic USB device is not what you want to fix
You need to have the Camera SD card seen by the computer
I presume the images are on an SD card and not on the camera memory
The computer will NOT see the camera inbuilt flash memory
Try connecting the USB with the computer powered on
Also if by chance your computer has a USB 3.0 port as well as USB 2.0 ports and you are connecting to a USB 3.0 try a USB 2.0 port
When the computer see a connection and decides it is a generic USB device it is NOT seeing the SD card all it is seeing is a USB device connected
For example when my card reader is connected without any SD card in it, my computer sees a generic USB device
When I used digital cameras (HP, Nikon and Canon), I stopped connecting the camera to a PC to upload pictures because inevitably some Windows update would prevent the camera software to work.
For year, I simply remove the sd card from the camera, put it either into a USB sd card reader or put it into an sd slot on the computer and get the pictures onto the computer using Windows Explorer.
I've stopped using digital cameras and now take pictures with android tablets and phones.
