Last time i booted gentoo it used this graphical terminal. I 'm just wondering what resolution that is and weather or not i can change it. I'm planning on doing a bunch of installs and not all of the monitors can support 800x600. Is it possible to change?

Yes it can be changed, gentoo is not that bad contrary to belief, make sure you have your nearest hardware setting and I think you will find it easier on 24 bit 1024x768

    happy hunting.
