Get back old menu in Word 2007?

    my office just installed word 2007 on my pc. i had totally customized the menu on my old word 2003 and loved it. is there any way to get the old menu back and not use the new menu system (i.e.: ribbon)?

    Hello there,

    Sorry, there is no way to do this. If you did so programmatically (as is generally recommended) it will add another tab labeled Addins and put a little icon there with your menu. Customizing the Ribbon is much more intense and cannot be done with VBA alone (technically you can, but it is such a PITA you don't want to go there). You need to write some XML and is best used wtih VSTO (Visual Studio Tools for Office). In fact, there is a book called VSTO for Mere Mortals which is for people going from VBA to VisualBasic.NET.
