I have a small intranet running on IIS,
It uses Integrated WIndows Authentication which gets the users from Active Directory.

now, all of that works and authenitcation with AD domain is perfect.

BUT i have always wondered how i could have a little text on the top of the page saying "Welcome Mr.<username>" My intrantet is all on just simple html, if there is no way to do it with html then i would just like to find out how to do it on the other types, probably dynamic ones like php or asp.

Thankyou, I have checked google results but they give back weird codes which i have no idea how to use. So if it could be explained as easily as possible i would very much apprecciate it,
