I installed XP on a second hard drive on my computer, trying to pinpoint and get rid of a problem. Once done, I re-formated the 2nd drive, and am using it as a backup.

Problem is, when I start my computer, I get an option screen asking which Windows XP I want to run (basically C drive or D drive). Since the D install no longer exists, it can't/won't boot to that drive, but it still gives me the option.

How to I teach Windows that there is only one install now?

    Thanks

Edit boot.ini and remove that entry
