I have an AMD Sempron 2200+ that runs about 1500 Mhz. Is there anyway of improving performance short of overclocking? If not, what is a safe overclock of the Sempron and would it be worth it?
You could put a amd xp processor in there what ever the maxx that board will support. Faster front side bus. Better video card if it will support it that is.
Yeah without overclocking or replacing the CPU there is little you can do. You can possibly tweak some settings in the BIOS like adjust the CPU and Memory timings(like setting it to optimal, aggressive, turbo, etc) but Asrock boards usually don't have many options to tweak.
Fastest CPU that board will take is an Athlon XP3000+ with a 333Mhz FSB.
