For some odd reason I have Track00 created on 12/31/1994 on my CD/DVD ROM. There is no disk in the drive. I have rebooted and even removed the drive and placed it back in and there is still that 1KB track on the drive.
    How do I remove this?

The symbol next to DVD drive isnt the standard symbol... Looks to me like you have tried to burn a CD or accidentally selected a track to be burn to CD in a program such as windows media player (maybe a misclick when the autorun feature of an external drive is plugged in). Check all the program you have with can burn a file to disk eg all media programs. Make sure none of them list a file ready to be burnt to CD

If this isn't the problem... what happens when you insert a CD/DVD?

Have you tried a system restore?
