i got some new ram today for my mobo... (Corsair Value Select Dual Channel Kit 184 Pin 1G(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200 - Retail)

one of the sticks was bad... so i RMA'ed it back.... when i came back the computer worked fine with the old ram....

i got a machine check error.. (blue screen)

now it wont even post ..


ps. i am a MCP. and i have a deg. in (computer networking) and (computer repair) so you can respond to that lvl

suspect the bad ram caused an error on the mobo. Try checking with another stick to see if mobo is at fault or ram.

Is this an Nvidia chipset your referring to? If so did you clear CMOS before swapping the DIMMs?

na.... i talked to tech .. they said its dead .... i have to RMA it back... junk bored.
