I'm replacing an Asus motherboard with a Gigabyte GA-EP41-UD3L and, of course, the rear blanking plate is different. I've searched the net for ages but no luck. Can anybody point me in the right direction to buy a suitable plate please?

The new motherboard should have come with a new I/O plate as they always do.

But doing a quick search it seems you can buy a matching plate on eBay. You can also try visiting a local computer store and see if they have spares that match up with your motherboard; either take the board with you or take a good picture of the layout.

You can also leave it off if you must and can't find one.

This is a motherboard bought on eBay having been rescued from another system so no blanking plate with it. I haven't looked specifically on eBay but have done a general Google search. Will try eBay now.

I assumed it could be omitted if necessary but would be nice if only for aesthetic reasons. :)

A lot of IO shields are available in the gigabyte accessory store. If you call gigabyte and get the part# OR if you already know the part#, you can look on the gigabyte site.

I got nil results on the Gigabyte site when searching for IO shields.
