Approximately about a month or so ago, I purchased a gigaware keyboard from Radio Shack. I managed to get it installed and working properly on my windows 98 OS system, however, whenever I shut my computer completely down, and restart, my keyboard will not load the driver. In order to get it to enable me to type etc. I have to restart again. How can I correct this problem so I don't have to restart twice. I turn my computer off to conserve power.

You can try a couple of things. You can buy a new keyboard for 20 bucks, assuming that's what the problem is. Check out your motherboard and see if anythings wrong with it too. Maybe it's possible that your BIOS is not correctly configured to recognize a keyboard. It could be your operating system too. If you're feeling saucey you can check out the problem by using Windows 98, you can get it from bootdisk I think. Once you have it installed, see if Windows 98 detects a keyboard. I know that's a pain in the ***, but try getting a new keyboard first instead of resorting to the last two.
