an old dell 4500s Dimension computer now gives the following messages
Primary hard disc drive0 not found
    Primary HDD 1 not found
    secondary HDD 0 not found
    secondary HDD 1 not found
It had the cover removed recently but when turned on after a year or so, said "Windows was closing down". After that, I could only get the messages above. F1 and F12 were of no help.
Should I take the computer to the tip?

howdy and welcome. Sounds like the hard drive may have been knocked loose. May want to verify that the cables are tight going to it.

    Both power and data cables.

If they are ok and it still misbehaves then the 12 volt rail in the power supply could be fubar.
