For some time now, I have been trying to get my gmail account to work with MS Outlook 2000. I have read the instructions and read tons of information about how to set it up. I go into Outlook->Tools->Accounts, I set it up. I also downloaded the gmail configuration executable. I did the port forwarding to open ports 995 and 465. By all intensive purposes, I think I have the account setup and everything ready to go. I even have my gmail account setup to allow for POP3. The problem is that I am never able to connect to the gmail server. I seem to encounter the same problem:

"Unable to connect to the server.....POP3 Server: pop.gmail.com; Error Number: 0x08000ccc"

I have attempted to access my gmail account using Outlook, Thunderbird, and a couple of other email clients so I do not think it is a client problem. I am curious if it might be caused by my Router, somehow it is not allowing the ports to be opened. But I went into Port Forwarding, selected the IPs and entered the port numbers. Any ideas????
