Widows 2002 XP. Can't download certain e-mails. Even when I click "display images below", images won't display. Some e-mails ask if they can be displayed in browser. If there is that option, I can then see e-mail. Help is appreciated.

Need to know which browser.....Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, etc......and which version of any browsers.

I take it that this problem exists only with Gmail, right?

As in my reply.......what version of the Internet Explorer browser are you using? 6, 7, 8, or beta 9?

The main forums for Gmail help > http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/gmail/label?lid=745896f193361992&hl=en

There is a long discussion of the same exact issue you are seeing...... Google says they are working on the solution.

I also use Gmail, since it first was around, and do not have this problem. I did not read anything past the first page of messages at the My images won't display thread....so you should read through all the replies in that thread. Hope there may be something useful to try.

You should install Firefox and see if it shows the same problem with images displaying.
