I have a file that contains 'scripts' and I am not sure what this file is or what it is for. It is filled with 1468 websites. Is this a form of cookies?
    The file name is: C:\Program Files\Common Files\GMT\Scripts

Also, Should I go through and delete my cookies periodically. I have been doing it and wonder if I should be.

    Thanks for any responses!:)

    Hiya and welcome

Lets take a look at that file. Rightclick on it and choose Properties. What is the extension? Also, what OS are you using?

As to the cookies, if you have a load, yes you can, but all I delete are the spyware ones.

If you want to know which are spyware, go here and download AddAware www.lavasoftusa.com
Install and run, ensuring Deep Registry Scanning is enabled. Remove all except any references to Web3000 or new.net If you're unsure, copy/paste the list here.

Whilst you're there, download and install RefUpdate to get the latest updates.

    Regards

    eddie

    Hey Eddie,

They are in a file folder. Most of the files are websites and there is a \GMT after the location. Sorry, but that's all it says.
    I am using Windows 98.

I use Gator for my zillion passwords, so I guess I'll have spyware with that program. Maybe I should uninstall Gator.

    Thanks for your response.

    Julie
