I have a D-link DSL 2640B and a Goflex 1T network drive attached to said router. What happens is that after around a day or 2 the goflex will block the outgoing connection to the Internet. Incoming is not affected. The only way to resolve this is to reboot the router with the drive disconnected. If I re connect the drive immediately it crashes the connection again. If a wait a while then everything works fine. The home network is never affected. I tried changing the drive to a fixed IP address in case on conflict, but this made no difference and I opened ports 21 to 30 before realizing their is no firewall enabled on the router anyway.
