Just today I noticed that my laptop's left touchpad button has stopped functioning. (The left has already not been working for some time.) I'd like ideas for good alternatives. I've seen USB touchpads, considered mice and trackballs, and have also seen keyboards with a touchpad or trackball. I have very limited space and I'm not really sure what would be best for my needs (mostly common computer tasks with occasional RTS and MMO use). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

do you have a smart phone?
If so I know with the iphone or Touch you can use an app that replaces the trackpad, called Airmouse.
I use it for mac and windows.

    It uses wi fi connctions

I don't have a smartphone unfortunately, but aren't phones supposed to be used for talking anyway? Regardless, that's off-topic.
