Good First Gaming PC or too Overkill?

Will do, thanks for your help! By the way, I found this power supply in a warehouse at my dad’s workplace, would this work with the system I’m trying to build? I have some pictures here too.

From what I can see in your images, that's a junk quality power supply with only 20 amps on the 12-volt rail.

If you plan to use a mechanical SATA3 hard drive instead of a solid state drive, select a Western Digital Black 7200 RPM model.

I'm not a hardware/gaming expert, so my input here is limited.

That is a somewhat budget board. It has the older realtek sound ie the alc 887. Since the title of the thread references a gaming system, you might want to consider a higher end board. It is up to you AND the board you selected will work.
Just my opinion however I like a good sound experience. Either a real sound card like an asus xonar or the top of the line realtek supporting dolby sound or creative sound. Again up to you.

One last word of advise. Do not go cheap on the pw supply. Low end pw supplies cause many problems on a gaming system.
