I downloaded many books to my Kindle, but I find the managing is a little messy. Does anyone find a good tool that helps us manage our Kindle collections easily?

I don't want to use Calibre because it told me to update my Kindle again and again.

Kobo do one as well as Kindle, but Calibre is the best.
If you have something like a weekly magazine, it will likely want to keep it up to date??

The Kindle Fire doesn't have access to the Google Play Store unless you root it. I doubt the Amazon App store has links to other e-readers, but they wouldn't read Amazon Kindle books anyway.

Can you be more specific on what kind of organization you need help with?

If Calibre is the best, then I think we found our niche market for software. I read a TON on my tablet, and I curse that app daily.

I tried Calibre, but it was and is a waste of my time. The use of the manager that comes with the Kindle is much better.

agreed. Why Android can't get a functional book app is beyond me.

A Kindle Paperwhite doesn't have any apps. It doesn't run Android.

Edanward, you can't install programs on your Kindle, so I assume you're looking for programs to run on your computer? Calibre is the only one I'm aware of that will manage books for many devices and supports conversions.

Then you are stuck with whatever Amazon and the Kindle application supply.
Calibre is the only one I know of

The copy that I tried, it would only list what was currently on the device and NOT all of the books that were on the "Cloud".

Calibre isn't a plug-in. It's a complete Windows application. It shows all the books you have on your Kindle and on your computer. It lets you sort and search by author and title. You can transfer books to and from the Kindle. You can also use it to side-load books that weren't purchased from Amazon.

Why don't you want to use it?

As stated above, the copy that I had was for the Kindle not for Windows. That is where I want to control my book listing.
