A friend/rival/enemy of mine died today of leukemia. I am a 8th grader.

Me and my group of friends decided to at least send him away with a nice gift. We thought that performing a piece for him would be a good present.

So far, the members of this little group are me (piano), a girl (violin), and another girl (viola). I thought this was a nice little group to start some pieces. The girls are amateurs, while I, despite being young, am a competition-winning pianist.

Anyway, the big problem is... we don't know what to do with the music scores. I have to do most of the arranging (we're playing Funeral March by Mendelssohn, but it is for piano solo, therefore, we must arrange it to be for a trio), so I need a good freeware.

What I am looking for is a freeware that DOESN'T NEED A LOT OF HASSLE, such as plugging in a keyboard, etc. I want it to be able to create a music score, with me typing/clicking/etc the notes. You know what I mean, I want to write/print a music score, with my arranging of the piece.

Does anyone know of such a program?
