google search box is gone

    I lost my google search box and I feel lucky on the google home page. Does anybody have a idea why and where it is?

    You're not giving us a lot of details.

    Please click here to download and install the HijackThis installer.

    Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile.

    The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

    Do not fix anything

    At the top of the page in a blank area where your tool bars are do a right click Your tool bars should be listed there . Just click on Google if its there

    You have a really outdated version of Java. You should uninstall it and get the latest Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0_16.

    Also, clear all your browser's cache, including temporary Internet files, cookies and browser history.

    Go to your Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > find Java 6 Update 5 and remove it.

    You may also have many other versions in there that you should also remove.

    Or, you can use the free JavaRa to do it for you. It should also install a newer version for you.
