Google Search Redirect and Windows can't check for updates

Hello. I seem to have 2 issues with my pc. First, most of my google searches are re-directed to various unrelated sites. I'm also unable to access Windows updates. The error code I receive is 8024402C.

So far, I have run Ad-Aware, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and AVG. Before that, I had CA Internet Security Suite installed. I recently removed it since it conflicted with AVG.

Download TDSSKiller and save it to your Desktop.

• Extract the file and run it.
• Once completed it will create a log in your C:\ drive
• Please post the contents of that log

 

Thanks for the response. I was able to do a system restore to a previous date. I then ran AVG again and solved my problem.
