I use Firefox 67.0 and sometimes the Google search results appear in their own individual framed boxes and not many fit on a page. Usually I can clear the cache and restart Firefox and it's fine after but today I'm having trouble with it no matter what I do. I find it very annoying. I will actually see the display I want for a split second and then in immediately coverts to this new one. Anyone know why and/or the solution?

Sorry, I use FF ESR so I'm only at v 60.7.
If you use a theme, disable that.
Look over your extensions and disable a few.
Reboot and see if that helped. If so, start enabling 1 thing at a time until it works again.

The latest with v 67 is that users have lost preferences, profiles, addons, etc.
If this happens, here's how to regain your old account info:

Thanks Liz. I don't use a theme. I started Firefox without any add-ons and there's no difference unfortunately.

So far I haven't had the profile problem.

I'm using FF67, but on a Linux platform.
with NoScript, AdBlock plus, Malwarebytes and Ghostery as extensions.

With NoScript set 'untrusted' for Google, my searches are individually boxed, taking up more space. Images associated with the listed web sites are often included taking up even more space.

Google set as 'trusted' with NoScript, is as it used to be for me.

Sounds backwards to me, but that's what I'm seeing.

    Further:

This is what I see that's also different, switching NoScript from Trusted to Untrusted

Maybe Google just wants us to trust them :D

Both images are the bottom of page 3 in a search for "black holes"

My Trusted one is the same as yours John which is similar to how it was before.

My second one displays like your Untrusted one whether I have it as Default or Untrusted in NoScript. This is the display I don't like but I didn't have to Trust Google to get it before.

I just tried out DuckDuckGo. Same search terms.

Cleaner either trusted or untrusted. Good results.
I suspect it's a Google 'thing', maybe associated with their latest advertising changes?

I think I'll give DDG a try out for a week or two.
I haven't been pleased with Google as a search engine for a long time. Years.

I read somewhere that they are testing new displays with certain users randomly. I actually used the Feedback button to ask them to remove the boxes. I know, a lot of good that will do.

I just have a thing that says "next" with no indication of how many pages there are.
