A friend's name and postal address has accidentally been placed on a website. The address has now been removed from the website, but it is still coming up in full detail, when her name is typed into Google.
What can be done about this?
Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

Is the information showing up in the Google results page or on the page when you click the link in the results?

If the undesired information is showing up when you click the link, make sure the cache is cleared on the computer you are using to check the contents. The browser may still be using an old cached copy.

If the undesired information is appearing in the search results or in the cached copy on the Google server, then you need to wait for Google to recrawl the site and get the new content. This may take hours or days.

Hello - That's useful information. It is appearing on the results page - so with luck it should clear when the site is 'recrawled' as you say. A new word and process for me!
    Thanks for your help.
