Hi guys I need help upgrading my graphics card and my CPU.

I did some research of my own.

My PSU is a Hiper 530w Type R

    Graphics card:

I currently have the XFX 7600 GT

I want to upgrade to the Radeon HD 6770
    http://www.game-debate.com/hardware...ics=Radeon HD 6770 XFX 1GB GDDR5 Core Edition

    Or the Sapphire 6670
    http://www.game-debate.com/hardware/?gid=1185&graphics=Radeon HD 6670 Sapphire 1GB GDDR5

I really want the 6770 but I'm not sure if it would work with my PSU

    CPU:
    This is my current CPU

And i want to upgrade to:
    http://ark.intel.com/products/29765

    This is my motherboard:
    http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2314#sp

Would the CPU work on my motherboard?

I know this set up is old and so on but I just want to get a decent graphics card and CPU to get the WEI to all over 7.0 so i can use this as a backup.

Here is the processor support list for that motherboard:

    http://uk.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=2314

The Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 appears to be a supported processor.

    --------------------------------------------------------

The 6670 appears to require at least a 400W power supply.

The 6770 appears to require at least a 500W power supply.

    --------------------------------------------------------

I'm not a hardware upgrade expert, so I'll leave you with someone who can give you more and better advice.

You'll probably be fine with the 6770. Or you could look at the 7750 which is almost as fast as the 6770 but uses less power and is slightly newer too. Or go with the Radeon HD 7770 and have better performance and lower power consumption than the 6770: http://www.hwcompare.com/11926/radeon-hd-6770-vs-radeon-hd-7770/

And I'd take the 6670 off the list completely.
