Hi,

I recently upgraded my 9600 GT to driver version 178.13 and all seemed fine for a while.

A few problems have occured in the day since the upgrade.

1) I use Xpertvision and now when i click to use the taskbar icon function, a message says "please update the display driver and program" - so i downloaded the most recent version of Xpertvision- then i still got the same messages but the fan control and performance options have dissappeared!?

2) When i start the computer, after the blue XP 'welcome' screen i get my normal destop black background and at which point i would expect the taskbar at the bottom and icons etc. I now have to wait about 1-2 minutes for the taskbar etc to show?!?!

3) I now cannot play Rainbow Six Lockdown or Colin McRae Dirt. Lockdown gives a message like this one after the initial splash screen:

http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/8081011862/m/1161061005

and Dirt doesnt get past the disc checking screen to load the actual game.

Sorry if this post is a bit lengthy but i needed to explain the seperate problems.

I could rollback the driver, but imn not sure if thats the best approach.

Can anyone help me please?

Many thanks

I don't know about all, but it did with mine.

It said to in the instructions. There was also some type of config. tool and it stated to make sure you update both and that both are from same package/version.

I didn't read all instructions and just updated and wasn't working properly.
Instructions were from website and not on or in the box.

I uninstalled all drivers. Re-installed new ones. No problems since.
