I have just bought and install a Radeon 7000 Graphics Card in my WinXP computer, everything works fine for about 15 to 20 minutes, then the screen has white lines running down the image is still there but is very faint and broken, this only happens when playing games, this dosen't happen on games that require less than 1mb of RAM to run. I have changed the monitor, screen Hz, screen resolutions and colours and it still happens. Anyone know what's causing it?

I've installed the latest directx and updated the video driver, I've even reinstalled WinXP and tried installed Win98 to see if it's something in the operating system, but it still produces the same problem.

I suppose this means I proberly have a faulty graphics card???

    Sounds like a bad card.

But it could be overheating or it may not have enough power.

If you could exchange it that'd be great.

Also... since the "NEW" card is defective (hint was 2 different OSs), you SHOULD get at least a $90 ATI 9000Pro or a $135 ATI 9600 (plain - NOT an SE), as they will play GTA far better than the 7500 (which is like a GF2mx, but sometimes worse).

With the 9600, GTA-Vice will run very good (a better game than GTA3 - but both are awsome).
