graphics card

    ok i have a radeon 9200 atlantis. it works fine, apart from every now and then... some times the PC will look all strange. lots of random clours n blocks moving around. its usualy sorts its self out if i turn the pc off for a few hours... any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

    Howdy,

    Try and re-seating your video card and blowing out the slot before you put it back in.

    Is you Video card getting hot at all?

    i dont think its getting too hot. i had this problem ages ago. my dads mate fixed it some how :S

    I would give what I suggested a try and maybe check for a undate driver for it on the manufactures site.

    ok ive tried taking it out n putting back in. the card wasnt hot at all.
    it must be software...

    It also could be your card going West but lets hope not

    Sounds more like monitor problem to me. Can you tell us how old the monitor is?

    ok the monitor and cables arnt even a year old. i have changed the monitor and cable with another pc's monitor and cable with no diffrence. i have changed the graphics card with an older one i had and the pc works fine....apart from this card not having an open GL :(

    If it persists I would say look for another Video Card.....
