Actually, it wasn't a mis-type on my part. You just misunderstood it.

"My old computer was bought from Best Buy. It has an AMD Athlon II X4 620 2.6 GHz processor, and I forget what the motherboard was.
6GB of ram, and the video card and hard drive I had in itare now in the new computer I'm trying to fix.
I need to buy more ram for the new computer it only has 4GB right now."

I was stating what my old computer was, and stopped at saying there was 6GB of ram in my old computer, then going on to say that my OLD video card and OLD hard drive are in my new computer now. So a small grammar problem on my part, yes. Anyways, get off this forum since you are absolutely no help to me. You just try to make me look like an idiot.

Sorry, I'm just trying to understand how much RAM is currently in the system.
Anyway..I'll try to be more constructive.

You might want to try checking the system temperatures.
If the CPU is getting too hot, it'll slow itself down so that it doesn't burn up.
That will really affect the performance of the machine.

HWMonitor is a good free program to check out the temperatures as the machine is running.

Thank you.. I downloaded the program and ran it and everything seemed normal. All the temperatures seemed normal to me, so I'm not sure what else could be wrong... I might just bring it in somewhere and pay the guy $30 to look at it. This is getting annoying lol.
