Any time I launch a game, such as Rainbow Six or Doom, etc., the application begins to load and then the screen goes completely gray. My only option at this point is a hard power off.

Any idea what could be causing this?

    Thanks.

Sounds like a video card driver issue to me - what are your PC Specs? Have you been able to play these games before?

I have a Dell 400 MHz w/128ram. The video card is 8mb nVidia. I was able to play these games before but I do not know what happened to make me unable to. I suspected something related to the video card...

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

have you tried downloading newer drivers from www.nvidia.com, un-installing the current ones and then installing the ones that you downloaded?

    That's worth a try.

    Thanks.

I'll post back if it doesn't work.
