Meet our weatherman.
He is a groundhog (woodchuck)....called Phil.


Feb.2 the day on which, according to legend, the groundhog first emerges from hibernation. If he sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter.

The ceremony attracts about 40,000 people and this year the newly elected governor showed up.

We always get another 6 weeks of winter...irregardless...stupid northern climate.

Either way we got a foot and a half or so of snow round here, so everyone but the hospital and a few other places are closed. Sweet.

Sounds to me like there may be a few more October babies in Kansas this year than normal ;)

Ash, they figure the same thing will happen here because of the recent -50 weather :)
