I recently followed a YouTube video to uninstall Linux mint 18 cinnamon .I typed this command " sudo rm-rf--no preserve root" then I realized the video was about destroying Linux. Now i lost everything in my PC and now I come up with a screen showing the following :
    error: file '/boot/grub/i386-pc/normal.mod' not found.
    Entering rescue mode. . .
    grub rescue>

I decided to reinstall Linux mint so I put the same bootable DVD from which I installed mint.
I'm getting a black screen with a '_' blinking .. I have tried many times by installing mint in a USB again I'm getting the same problem.
Plse help me to solve these problems
    Thank you very much

If I were you I would forget the Linux installation but just run the Linux live CD to look at how much data I still have and salvage it to an off line device.

Once you have salvaged your data just do a clean install with your choice of Linux.

Your error is probably to do with a dirty install (to keep existing files).
