Last night i received a virus, and when trying to remove the virus (in safe mode) i changed the guest account to have admin priveleges and i removed the admin from my main account. I have removed this virus, and now i can't seem to change the name of my normal account, or return it to an admin. can anyone help? :)

I would backup all my data first.

Which OS? If XP, you could probably go into safe mode and login as buil-in administrator.

OK, built-in admin is disabled by default their. Did you try adding users in Safe Mode?

Your personal data (according to Microsoft) shouldn't be affected. But I would definitely back it up anyways.

Sounds like the built in Administrator account was removed.

Was your "Normal" account the Administrator account, but was renamed to what user name you were using?
