    They sure are RT...
    Here's another beauty.

I came across this male Ringed-neck Pheasant yesterday and he wasn't very happy to see me.
These guys are real fast on their feet and what you're looking at is 4 quick shots of him crossing
the road and getting out of Dodge. If you look close you'll see both feet of off the ground in the second shot. lol

Oh the second shot...there must be a Wiley Coyote close behind ;)

Sad to say I hit a pheasant on the way to work one morn...well, more accurately it flew into the path of my car, as though it was waiting for me to drive by. Happened so fast, nothing I could do about it...but pull the colorful feathers from the front grill after I got to work.

In my career as a long-haul driver I have hit many creatures and it still bothers me today. I think that's a good sign that I'm normal.

Had a bit of an ice storm wack our area between Christmas and New Years that forced us out of our home for 3 and a bit days.
Even though the damage was extensive... downed power poles / lines and trees destroyed blocking access from any direction it
is a beautiful yet alarming sight to see. At least we're back home now and nobody got hurt.
In the pole shot my camera is level, it's the pole that's crooked and it should give you an idea of what happened.

I live in the country and am surrounded very closely by 100 foot Hemlock trees that are covered in what looks like an inch of ice. They are breaking and falling all over the place and it sounds like grenades and bombs going off all around us due to the increase in temps.

I'm always mesmerized when I get the chance to be so close to the largest swan in North America.
These Trumpeter Swans are very smart and have good reason to fear humans so they normally land
a long distance off the road out of shotgun range. Yesterday I found a large flock landing at a spot that
allowed me to practice my inflight shots. I was there for at least 1.5 hours and enjoyed every second of it.
The sky and background was just what I needed.

The post is kinda picture heavy but ask me if I care. I love this stuff......

First time I've ever seen a pair of male Ring-necked Pheasants hanging out together.
There's quite a difference in marking betwixt the two.
