    Hi,
I have tried to get Gyrotools (presentation software) running on my new PC which has Vista. I continue to get the error message: Failed to set data for "

I found a closed thread on this same situation for an XP user:

Failed to set data for "
I was getting this error when i double click on Gyrotools 7
    Windows XP Computer
When runing Gyrotools as a normal user not administrator

If you install Gyrotools as the local administrator and then run program as a different user that doesn't have local admin rights you would get this error

If you gave user that was going to run gyrotools admin rights and then install Gyrotools
    and then remove admin rights
then it would work because that user was the owner of the registry keys

So what i needed to do was give normal users permissions to theses keys
    \REGISTRY\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Gyrotools_Config
    and
    \REGISTRY\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.gtp

    and then all was good

What I need help with is how to I attempt to implement this solution of giving normal users permission to these keys????

    Thanks,

    Vistavictim
