Funny, it did nothing here but make me suspicious. Nothing new on windows update and spysweeper refuses to load on startup. Sweeping now and downloading HiJack This.

Yeah, I think I am straight now but I do have a HJT log posted in security. I killed a few 013 entries and rebooted. WTH? I know better than this crap. :D

SP1 is a preliminary Beta at the moment being released to a select few early beta testers who have enough experience & knowledge to know where to look for problems

It is not a general beta release at this stage so my advice is not to attempt the registry tweak the poster has given as it won't do anything for you except break yur system

as usual soemone with a partial information or knowledge has jumped the gun

I have removed the links from the posts mentioning it as it breaks microsoft agreements

the beta SP1 expires in a specific period so unless you are prepared to format & do a complete install don't try it

The idea of any BETA is to find bugs so that is why it is released to testers NOT the public

Sorry boss, just passing on some different information. I wouldn,t try the hack myself; don't see a need for it, I can wait. But there are those that like to do such things.
