I have recently downloaded tor after watching an interesting video on the deep Web and wanted to see it for myself. And I never looked anything up I only opened the browser. Later my email I use for the computer was attempted to be logged into from the Netherlands but I have to verify the login on my phone. But I assume this person is still in my system and might be activating my camera and/or mic. I would really like some help getting this person off my system so I can feel safe again.

That was probably you, TOR and pretty much any "VPN" or proxy service routes your traffic to another location so it makes it harder to track down your real location and identity.

remember Tor browser is an offshoot of Firefox. If you already have Firefox on your computer, it automatically picks up all settings from your existing FF account, unless told not to on install. It is highly likely that you have some sites set up for auto-login in FF. I get this behaviour when using Youtube or google sites that automatically log me in when I switch between FF & Tor. That voice messaging application will be auto-logged in all the time in the same way Skype is, unless you actively log out.

From what I can see of discordapp, it automatically uses the settings of your default browser. If that is FF, then using Tor will log you in to the app if it is turned on

I really think this is unlikely to be a malware issue so moved to web and email

It is set up under the email that was logged in but it's very new computer less than a week old I have not downloaded much besides Netflix and battle.net (play overwatch and hearthstone). It does not nor has ever had firefox. I'm probably just over reacting just don't want my new comp to get messed up.

That is unrelated to TOR, you must have accessed a site using TOR or just regular browsing and compromised your passwords. Your computer doesn't get hacked by simply installing TOR.

    For Steam see here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2347-qdfn-4366

Have you run any malware scans on your laptop?

You can and probably should also go through your other accounts and change your passwords and verify the account recovery option to ensure they haven't been change; but I would suggest using a different computer or device to do that if you think this computer is verified.

I have run scans on both my desktop and laptop nothing showed up, I have changed my passwords and also re turned on my 2 step authenticator after he/she turned it off. I believe I was key logged but I'm not 100%. None of the stuff is recoverable and I had almost nothing on steam nor do I use it so I could care less what they stole on there. I believe they are done for now since they took everything they could I have quit the game so they can't really do it again it's just basically what is still in my system.
