Hello to everyone on the forum, I was wondering if you could help me with a problem I've been having.

First of all, every six clicks or so my browser will hang for usually between 30 seconds and a minute, which you can understand is quite annoying.
Its done this since I first got the computer whicj is over a year ago now so I'm not sure if its connected to whats been happening recently.

These hangs are getting more frequent and for longer and some days I will get disconnected loads of times, even if I havent been on that long. Also my browser speed seems to have gone way down (I'm using 56k dial up) I used to have the display at the bottom (sorry I'm not being technical) way higher, now I often get between 33333 and 45333bps.
I've run adaware and removed some stuff, I've tried to download spybot a couple of times, but will keep trying, I got disconnected in the middle of those downloads!!

I've seen that the HJ might be useful to you so here it is...

Still no luck with spybot, I've tried to download it from a couple of mirror sites buit got the error message that the setup file is corrupted.

As I say i don't think it will be this but its starting to drive me mad as I rely on the internet for work.

Have you tried repairing IE? Got to Add/Remove programs and double click on Internet Explorer and choose "Repair". Hope this helps.
