my computer keeps hanging at non specific programs when I am typing or just doing normal tasks... if i wait aobut 30 seconds it will run normal for a while and then do it again.

so heres what i think it is.

when i was putting in some more RAM the other day, i decided to do this with the computer on mind you, (dumb i know), and i accidently broke a couple of the blades of the CPU fan off, and i also have a video card where the fan points down directly into antoher PCI card. and it seems very hot also.

i think it may be heat... am i right? or is it possibly some other cause?

    Ah yes... dumb..

Anyway. Yes it could be a heat issue... Try replacing the fan. OR

It could be the PSU. After you added more RAM, computer needs more power eh? Try get a new more voltage PSU if you think its that.

If you broke the fan replace it. Adding more RAM doesn't require a new PS.

didnt say it did. Just saying it might because more ram uses more power eh? or not?

Might even be the PSU anyway regardless of ram.

    who knows about the PSU.

Take it to POP for the fan bit.
