Usually when you first switch the computer on it will show which key to press to get into the Bios, it may be called 'System Bios' or 'System configuration' or similar on the screen.

Usually it's an F key (top row of keyboard) or possibly Esc or End key.

Once you are in the Bios it should show you which keys to use to look around, usually arrow keys and Enter.
It could show the drive(s) on the first screen but if not you will have to search around.

The important questions here that appear not to have been asked are
I set it to transfer the files via usb and came back hours later to just my normal desktop.
Where were you transferring the files to on the computer - was that to D drive
What method did you use to set up this transfer

Is it an Android OS phone.

and I previously told you how to get permissions in cmd prompt - when you say you tried chkdsk
Presuming that was chkdsk on D - have you been back to cmd prompt and tried it

Yes, so i downloaded my SIM card files in a folder on the D drive then I created another folder and downloaded the phone hdd files into that folder.

Downloading via USB by a samsung galaxy s8

OK have you seen that on your screenshot the disk is shown as unformatted
That means that the file system on the drive is damaged so that Windows cannot see it.

On your last screenshot you are issuing a chkdsk cmd on drive C
NOT D

Are you able to stay with me step by step or do you need to sign off for this session
If you are able to stay I will guide you through this step by step

DO YOU WANT THE DATA on the drive if possible OR are we simply going for a format so that you can then see the drive, but it will have NO data

yup, if you wanna switch over to another messenger system lemme know

I would like to see the data - pull any needed uncorrupted data and then just screw the rest (most of the data is just downloaded movies and the office LOL)

NO I cannot switch ity must be on the site
What I was asking was
Do you wish me to guide you step by step
AND
Do you want to try and save the data on the drive OR can we go straight for a format - you will lose everything on D if we do that

YES you do need to refresh
That is not going to help us as Diskpart cannot find it either
Go here
Partition Find and Mount: Download
download that
run the install and when you have it open on this window post back
DOES IT SEE THE DRIVE THAT is the 931GB
