My IDE harddisk is not getting detected in the bios.
    when i boot my cumputer
The boot screen is getting paused.

But when i unplug the IDE cable or the MOLEX power
connecter & immediately connecte it back again.
the system boots normly and shows the
    following error

" Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter"

When i try to install windows XP SP2 from the bootable cd
it sys "windows cannot accses the disk "

I have tried the following steps:

1 I have repalced IDE cable with the new one

2 I have restored BIOS settings to factory defaults.

3 I have checked the MOLEX connector by pluging
it in my DVD drive, I works fine(DVD drive).

4 Plugged the harddisk in the Secondery IDE cable.

5 Tried all the Jumper settings.

6 I even tried it by connecting it to the IDE to USB
    cable, in my friends system.

    But no result.

IS there any way of getting my harddisk get detected &
    recover the data.

    Please Help me.

The final step would be to take it to another computer and try it there. After that, it's off to a data recovery service where costs could run from several hundred to several thousand dollars.

Back up, back up, back up.
