    Hello All,

    I have the following problem:

I have P4-1500MHz computer with ASUS P4TM moterboard which includes 2 IDE buses. Originaly I had only 1 hard-drive (5400, 20GB as primary). I've installed on the same IDE bus a secondary H.D (7200, 80GB 8M). The other bus is used by 2 CDs.

The problem is that the 80GB H.D. is very very slow, for example, if I use Nero to check speed, for the 20GB H.D. I get 28,830KB/s, whereas for the 80GB H.D. I get only 1,884KB/s !!!

    Any suggestions???

    Thanks,
    Lior.

    Make sure its using DMA

    Sounds like its using PIO.

    Under IDE in device manager.
