I'm tryng to install WinXP on my new HD. It gets to the first reboot and I get this error...

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

It says that it stopped the setup so that there is no damage done to my computer. I have never seen this error before and am going nucking futz trying to install as my old HD(the one I'm using now) won't let me install any program.

Yep, that would probably fix it. I've got the worst luck with computers. Now it keeps failing when trying to boot from CDRom >_< Sometimes I wonder why I try.

Reuse the previously used ribbon cable on the new hard drive and check the master slave jumpers on the cdrom as well.
