I have a Toshiba laptop whose boot time has gotten horribly slow (4 - 5 minutes). Used to be a couple minutes. I'll probably end up reinstalling XP Home but the whole time it boot, the hard drive LED is flashing. Is there any program out there that can tell me what the hard drive is trying to do? In task manager, the processes tab shows mostly an idle system for a goof portion of the boot but the HD just churns away. I'd appreciate any feedback before I start over. Thanks

Thanks, daz1. I'd already downloaded bootvis but haven't tried it yet. Once I get the dump on the boot, where do I go to read up on what it's telling me?
