Hard drive not detected in bios or my computer

    HiI am using windows xp on a 686running at 750Mhz
    and my seagate 80Gb model no ST380011A is not detected in bios or at startup what can I do it was working well last week have changed it to secondary as a master and still no results ?

    Recheck the drives jumpers and try a different IDE cable. Its possible that the drive has just died. Try downloading the manufacturers drive test and running that. Is the drive under a warranty?
