I can't seem to get my SATA drive after reformatting. I botched up my file system and had to wipe my hard drive. Then when I went to reload everything, my computer doesn't see the hard drive. I don't believe there is a problem with the drive, I think I'm just not sure how to set it up properly. I'm using an IDE hard drive now with XP just to have something, but I need to get the sata working...

any help is GREATLY appreciated

thanks

Is the SATA drive to be the drive that you want Windows to be installed on or is it a secondary drive?

You probably need to install the SATA drivers for the drive to show up or if its a secondary drive you need to repartition/reformat the drive thru Disk Management.
