I suppose this question belongs here...
Ok, so i got an 80gig harddrive and partitioned it to have:
    6gig - windows xp
    58gig - programs and docs n stuff
    10gig - downloads
i dunno wot happend to the remainder
well, thats wot i intend on doing
my question is how do i make the 58gig partition contain the documents and settings and all that other stuff so that the 6 gig partition contains just xp (so i wont get it all messy). also, was this partitioning a good idea?

What I would do is setup folders for the various things you need on D drive like mp3, word documents, video's, pictures etc. Also other folders like programs in thier own folder as well.
