Hello, when using programs, or installing them, my computer will make the same noise that occurs when i manually shut it down, and freeze for around 20 seconds..then try to resume.

but for certain things like games, if it does what i described, my whole computer will crash and i will get a BSOD

This is really driving me crazy and any help is appreciated.

thanks

Yes, the EXACT error message, as Erans requests, is important.

If the computer is not the one in your Tech Guy profile, please provide the CPU & video card information.
Please provide the motherboard brand & model.
Processor bransd & model.
Ram - # of sticks; brand; model; size [ # of MB ].
Does the computer have a floppy disk drive?
Do you know how to make a bootable CD from an ".iso" file? Which CD burning software is installed?
Did you build the computer?
How long ago was the computer built?
Does the problem occur when you are not gaming?
Which game?
Go to the event viewer & look for errors or warnings that occur at the time of your BSOD.

Is your computer configured to create mini dumps? If not, please do so.
