I have a hard drive with corrupted windows XP. Windows has sent me a new disk.
I would like to use a new hard drive as master, install windows XP on it, and install the old drive as slave. That way I won't lose the data on the old hard drive.
Is this possible? Do I have to remove Windows XP from the old hard drive?

If so, how do I do it?

Thanks,

you are fine all you need to do is make the corrupted hardrive as a slave and new hard drive as a primary and when you install a fresh new windows then you can be able to access you're files from the secondary harddrive.
